Hello everyone, long time no blog! I have been really busy with some scrappy assignments that I just can't wait to share with you, but I have to wait until June. Today was Zachary's last day at preschool and I took advantage of my alone time and made some cards. My scrappy time will be limited now that summer has begun for my little man, I am so used to having five hours a day to myself to create, so now I will have to try to fit some me time in at night.
Here are the cards I made today. I discovered a wonderful website that sells stamps. Papertrey Ink. I am in love with these stamps, they are so nice to work with and the designs are too fun! Please excuse the bad photography, it's really windy outside, and that is where I usually take photos of my projects...so I took them in my kitchen...
I love the flowers on this one, the sentiment came with it.
Here are some more really pretty flowers...
I am not crazy about this card, not enough color...but I wanted to show you the triangle stamps because they are just too cute! I can picture them on a layout, the possibilities with these are endless...
This card was not made with Papertrey Ink stamps, the butterfly is Inkadinakdo, and the music is Stampin Up, the sentiment is very old and I can't read the stamp maker on the side anymore...
Thanks for stopping by, I hope you all have a fabulous long weekend! Be back on Monday with the last sketch for the month from Let's Get Sketchy...

Echo Park Love
Hello everyone, happy Monday if there is such a thing! We are going to the zoo with Zachary's preschool today, so that should be a fun time :)
Had some scrappy time yesterday and decided to dig out some scraps from one of my fave companies, Echo Park. I love the colors, patterns and stickers in their line, and they were perfect for the photos that I wanted to use...first up I wanted to share some flower photos that my daughter took on Mother's Day...
I love those flowers, they were so beautiful, there was a pond there with ducks and more trees than I have ever seen in one place, flowering bushes, we took so many pics...below is the layout that I made to showcase these photos.
This next layout is my little guy going up to bat at t-ball, he was so excited for his first game, I love how confident and determined he looks in this photo...too cute!
Enjoy the rest of your day, thanks for looking and I'll be back soon with some new projects :)

Just For Fun
Hello everyone, happy Friday! I hope you enjoy this upcoming weekend, I am sitting here waiting for the air conditioning guy to come and take a look at our central air unit, starting to get hot and it's not blowing any cool air...don't even want to know how much this will cost...always something isn't it?
I have a couple of layouts to share with you today, just for fun ones, no DT assignments here. :) The first one is of my super cute nephew Joey. I miss this little man soooo much and wish I could see him more often.
Isn't he too cute?! My brother is light skinned and blonde/blue eyed like me and his fiance is Hawaiian, and the combo of the two of them made for an adorable offspring. I love this Echo Park boy line, so perfect for my boy pages :)
These photos were taken by some friends of mine, Brooke and Donna. Their sons play baseball with Ben and they shared these pics with me on FB, so I was happy to be able to make a page. Once again, EP allowed me to create a fun page with these papers :)
And lastly, I just had to scrap this photo that Analise took on Mother's Day. My hubby surprised me with a trip to a botanical garden and it was pretty shady through out most of the park, but there was one spot that had these gorgeous antique roses and the sun was shining on them just perfectly, she snapped the photo and I just love it, looks like a painting. I enlarged it to an 8 x 10 and put it in a matted 11 x 14 frame and it's on the wall in my bedroom, I love it that much. My mother passed away 34 years ago today, and she loved roses of any kind, so this layout is for her. Used up some older Dear Lizzy on this one, along with some new Studio Calico.
Have a wonderful weekend and thanks as always for stopping by :)

Sunburst-About A Girl
Hello everyone, can you even believe we are halfway through May? I was seriously thinking of starting my Christmas shopping next month, it's really the only way I can get it all done is to start six months ahead of time, can't afford it otherwise... :)
Today at About A Girl we have another fun challenge for you! It's to create a layout with a sunburst pattern on it. I have been seeing this all over the internet, and it's just a really fun look...Here is my take...
I had a lot of fun with this layout, took some measuring to get things centered, but still enjoyed creating it. Used a lot of MME scraps, this is a great style of layout for using up those long strips you may have in your scrap bin. Love this photo of Analise and her bestie before recital this year. They have been friends since they were six. I so enjoy watching her grow up with her friends, they are all really sweet girls :)
I hope you get the chance to play along with us this time around at AAG. We love seeing your layouts and the special girls in your life. Stop on by and check out the DT's samples, they are fabulous!
Have a great day and thanks for looking!

Let's Get Sketchy :)
Hello everyone, I hope you had a lovely Mother's Day. I most certainly did! We went to a book fair and then to a botanical garden and got some fab photos, and then Dairy Queen (gotta have a sweet or two right?) and then my husband made me a salmon dinner.
We have a new sketch today over at Let's Get Sketchy. Here is the sketch...
This week's sketch was created by my lovely friend and fellow DT member, Ashley Horton...
And here is my take on the sketch. I am not really fond of this layout, not sure why, it just isn't a favorite...can't love them all I guess! I do, of course, love the photos of my girly dancing :)
I hope you have time this week to play along with us, we do love to see what you create! Thanks for stopping by and have a GREAT week!

Scraps and Stickers Part 2
Hello everyone, hope you all have lots of fun Mother's Day plans. We are going to a local book fair, I want to try to find the hardcover edition of New Moon to complete my Twilight collection, and then the hubs will probably make me something yummy for dinner :)
I have been working on diminishing my stash of scraps and stickers. I have a pile of stickers from American Crafts, just one sticker left from a particular collection, and thought it was time to use them up, so I made some cards, actually a lot of them...:) Been having fun in my craft room the past few days, I could just sit and make cards all day long and be happy as a clam :)
Here are the cards...
I think this is my fave of this bunch, love the black, red and whte combo together...
Made this one with some old Martha Stewart paper scraps that I have had for a few years....
Some Martha stickers and a little strip of embossed paper that has been in my scrap drawer forever...
This lone AC cupcake sticker, just had to find a way to use it...
Another lone AC sticker, I like the simple look of this one...
Some scraps of Crate paper that have been sitting in the scrap drawer for a loooong time...
More Crate scraps...decided to try some embossing and water coloring, I liked it. although I think I need to work on the shading of the watercolors a little more...
Some MME scraps from the 6 x 6 pad that I had...
These are border strips that my aunt Judy had given me, made by Martha, thought they would make a cute card for a little girl...
More AC stickers that needed a home...sorry for the glare, very sunny out today!
The AC Confetti collections, some scraps that needed to get used up...
One more the AC stickers that needed a home, I like this one too, the colors make me happy :)
And lastly, more Martha border strips, cute for a little boy...
Thanks so much for stopping by, I hope you all have a WONDERFUL MOTHER'S DAY!!

Studio Calico NSD
Good morning everyone, hope you had a great weekend and had some time to play along with all the great challenges on the web for National Scrapbook Day. I always like to play along with Studio Calico and this time they had some great ideas for cards, scrapbooks and Project Life. I have three things I wanted to try, so far I have two done, here they are...the first one is a layout with buttons...
Is this enough buttons for ya? I had fun with this one! My fave color is blue, so this came together quite easily for me, love this older photo of Ben when he was 7, such a handsome little man :)
and here is my card, the challenge was to make a card with five patterns on it, so I just went through my Echo Park scrap bin, and this came together quickly also. I used my Cricut to make the flower and SC stamps for the arrows and "hey girl".
Here is one more layout, that was based on a sketch over at SC. I couldn't get blogger to accept the sketch, but you can see it on the SC blog. This photo makes me laugh, four years ago, how different the kids all look! We have a mini van now so traveling is much easier, in this photo they were all jammed into the back of my husbands Saturn...fun times :)
Enjoy the rest of your day, the SC challenges are still going on if you want to join in the fun. I have a sketch to work on tomorrow. Thanks for looking, and as always, thanks for your lovely comments :)
